Same-day money is real, but it has moving parts — cutoff times, document readiness, and wire windows. Here is the honest timeline.
Same-day funding is real: an application submitted before 2pm ET can be approved and funded the same business day, and the full window from application to money in the account runs 1–3 business days. "Same-day funding" appears on a lot of websites; here's precisely what it means on ours — including the parts that depend on you.
The realistic timeline
1. Application: about 5 minutes. Online, soft credit pull only, no score impact. 2. Decision: within 24 business hours — often same-day for complete files. The single biggest accelerator is attaching your last 3–4 months of bank statements at submission. 3. Offer and agreement: as fast as you review it. Total payback, remittance schedule, and every fee are stated before you sign. Read them — same-day shouldn't mean unread. 4. Funding: within 24 hours of approval. Clean files signed before 2pm ET can fund the same day by wire; after the cutoff, funds typically land the next business morning.
What "clean file" means
Statements attached and legible, business name matching your formation documents — what underwriting reads in them EIN and ID verifying without a round trip A voided check for the exact account your revenue flows through You reachable by phone — one quick verification call is standard
Why the cutoff is 2pm ET
The cutoff isn't an arbitrary deadline — it's the wire window. Same-day wires have to reach the bank before it closes its outbound cycle, so an agreement signed at 3pm has missed it no matter how clean the file is. After the cutoff, funds typically land the next business morning. This is why applying in the morning is worth more than applying quickly.
What same-day does not mean
Three things worth separating out from the promise:
Same-day isn't the typical case for every file. The honest end-to-end window is 1–3 business days. A file needing one document round trip lands there instead, and that's a normal outcome rather than a failure. Speed isn't approval. A fast decision can be a fast no. Around 9 in 10 applications are approved — and the ones that aren't find out just as quickly. Speed is no reason to skip the math. If a funder can't show you the total dollar cost in plain numbers, that's a disclosure problem rather than a timing one, and it doesn't get better under deadline pressure — APR vs. factor rate covers how to compare two offers honestly.
What slows it down
Missing statements are the number-one delay. Mismatched entity names, personal accounts standing in for business accounts, and unreachable applicants are the next three. None are fatal — each just costs a cycle of back-and-forth.
The bottom line
If you apply in the morning with statements attached and stay near your phone, decision-and-fund inside one business day is a routine outcome here, not a promotion. Start whenever you're ready — the application takes five minutes, and preparing the file first is the single best thing you can do to earn a same-day decision.
